For how long you don't remember. But you've steadily trudged onwards south in what seems to be an un-ending forest. Oh the climate has changed over time. It had been temperate where you'd began, but once you'd crossed over the misted mountains the forest had taken a wholly different appearance.
A lush, green rainforest awaited you. And very warm too, you realize as rivulets of sweat tickle their way down your spine. Looking around you see many types of green wide-leaved plants thickly veined in purple or magenta. Beneath your feet the path was now of smooth river rocks in a light blue hue.
As you meandered your way along the trail you'd come along a weather-worn sign informing visitors that the inhabitants in the rainforest were territorial, and further on another pointing the way to a safe resting area. It was at the second sign you caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of your eye.
It had been a saurian about two feet in height, and mostly colored in the bright green of the surrounding vegetation. Quick at it was, you had not missed the wicked looking claws and scythe-like limbs.
